Welcome to the website for the Rattlesnake Mountain Rangers, a new Cowboy Action Shooting Club.

We are located between Checotah and Warner Oklahoma just south of Muskogee, and shoot the first Saturday of the month.

The September shoot at the Rattlesnake Mountain Rangers was as good as it gets. Perfect weather for a change, plenty of participants, and lots of friendly competition. Along with several first-time shooters at our club, we had quite an audience of onlookers as well. I believe it was a first, we had a woman take top honors, with Tulsa Tumbleweed coming in over all the rest. Montana Dan was right on her heels, as was Kansas Ed, Cole Winter, BlackRiver Jack, Rowdy Rebel, Choctaw Jack, Long Step, Prince Charles, Brazos Valley Kid, Oklahoma Bound, Miss Mary Matilda and Robert. BlackRiver Jack had a great set of stages lined up, with plenty of action for everyone. Special thanks to Rowdy Rebel’s daughter Lauren for picking up shells and helping out, she brightens up the day for anyone who comes in contact with her. It won’t be long before she will be out there competing with the rest. Thanks to all the participants for sharing their expertise with the newcomers and putting out the welcome mat to some prospective Cowboy shooters who came to check things out. Hope to see ya’ll on October 4th for the next shoot.
